I’ve probably dumped 40 hours into a side project to have a part of the message that greets players when they join our of my team’s servers do something snazzy. Over the course of that time I’ve rebuilt the setup from scratch twice and even got to compile my first C-like code. I reached a minimum of success when I peeped at the clock and saw it was 4:00 AM; 7 hours after I had sat down. I looked back at what I had done and back at the clock and realized I had a stunning rate of completion of 1/3 of a line of code per hour. Is it cheating to add linebreaks and carriage returns to inflate ones sense of completion?
