Receiving Cody

My father and two housemates were set to be away for today until Tuesday so I decided to have a party and invited a few people over to stay.

Cody arrived this afternoon from Oklahoma City and has little experience in big cities. He made his way after some fits and starts to my local regional rail and I picked him up. We returned to my house and chatted for a bit before going for a walk through Tyler Park and comparing the differences between Scout camping in Oklahoma and Pennsylvania. From what I gather, there version involves more cuts and bruises and dead wildlife.

He was relieved to find out that Philadelphia has proper suburbs which brought to mind the idea of vast fields just beyond Fishtown. We went out for Uzbek food and he was unimpressed by pilov. We stayed up and talked.
